Eric Briar

​I grew up around here.  My office is near the water in the quiet neighborhood of Leschi.  I live up the hill in Madrona.  This is my home.

My work as a massage therapist is offered in the highest sincerity. 

My approach emphasizes flow and depth.  Somatic rapport.

My intention is profoundly therapeutic. Bring me your challenges, your goals as well.

I know well what it means to ache and to struggle, and also what it means to feel whole.

My bodywork comes from the Swedish tradition, and is informed by contemporary neuroscience, trauma research, anatomy, and kinesiology, as well as various therapeutic and spiritual models associated with the Human Potential Movement, including Permaculture, mindfulness based healing, Internal Family systems, attachment theory, etc.

The concept of Forest Theories is my own term for the complex system of science, philosophy, experience, training and intuition that form the foundation of my work as a massage therapist and human.
